A legitimate question is: How can so many sincerely "in love" couples, many with deeply religious backgrounds, begin their marriage journey with a commitment to faithfully "cleave" to one another (Genesis 2:24), but 4 or 5 years later feel more like leaving rather than cleaving?! In the majority of cases, they have either never been taught HOW to build and guard a Christ-centered marriage, or they have not yet developed the necessary skills in APPLYING that which they learned.
Good marriages don't "just happen". Neither do broken marriages. Things go right in a marriage when the right things are known and put into practice.
