In order to learn from the immigration standards that God gave to Israel in the Old Testament Law, pertinent verses need to be viewed in their CONTEXT. Israel had responsibilities, and immigrants had responsibilities. Adherence to God's Laws was required by both native-born Israelites and foreign-born immigrants.
